ANTI-MUSLIM RIOTS, AN ONGOING PROCESS OF COMMUNAL INDIA TO FACE

Since the Independence of India in 1947, our country has to face a lot communal riots. And specially the Muslims are the worst affected community except in 1984 over 2000 Sikhs were killed after the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi had been assassinated by her own body guards i.e. Swata Singh Singh and Beyant as a repercussion of the BLUE STAR OPERATION at Golden Temple of Amritsar, Punjab. In the past India witnessed the Bhagalpur Riot and Darbhanga Riot of Bihar, Neli's Riot of Assam, Meerut and Muzaffarnagar Riot of Uttar Pradesh, the Great Gujarat Massacre and so on. But very recent the riot at India's heart, Capital City of Delhi Riot-2020 has left a strong global reaction as it has been organized by the Rastrio Swaong Sevak Sangha (RSS), a Sangha Parivar, the ruling BJP leaders and Bajrong Dal with 'JOY SRIRAM' slogan to put an end the Peaceful three months long anti-CAA (CITIZENSHIP AMENDMENT ACT-2019) movement and SHAHEEN BAG MOVEMENT. Sometimes the police were snatching away the food items from the hands of the Shaheen Bag 's anti-CAA, NRC, NPR protesters or left them without roofing by taking away their tent's tarpaulin or polithin made roof covering during heavy rains. And it is a matter of great concern that Yogi Aditya Nath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Prodesh put Dr Kaphil Khan, a renowned physician into jail for delivering speech in favour of Shaheen Bag's CAA, NRC and NPR protesters. Like most other Indian riots this year's Delhi Riots is also an identical pre-planned and traditional character with the inactiveness of the police. Before the day of the riots the Hindu's houses and business places were marked by setting Safron flags which could easily help to identify the Muslim houses to the outsider hooligans. Besides, two day before the anti-Muslim riots begun in Delhi on 26 February, 2020 a BJP leader had said that the Muslim should have been sent to Pakistan in 1947 during the partition of India. The targeted violence broke out and continued for three days right under the nose of Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and Aravind Kejriwalji but the administration remained mute spectators. Afsana(37),Seema(34),Farhana (36) and their eight children had to huddle in a cramped room. Gripped by fear, sorrow and depression, the three families of Shiv Vihar, one of the areas worst-hit by the riots in North East Delhi, have been sheltered by a Muslim family in Mustafabad's Babunagar. Afsana wailed, "Our houses were burnt and we were made refugees overnight. We have lost everything and we do not know how we will survive from here on as there is no help in sight from the government". With death staring at them after armed rioters had marched through Sbiv Vihar and started setting homes and shops ablaze on February, 24.People like Mohammad Hanif and others in the area have come forward to help the victims as the government has failed to provide any relief. Some NGOs and civil rights group have set up legal and medical camp in the area to attend to the victims. A renowned personality Harsha Mander has expressed deep dismay and concern with the Delhi Govt. for "refusing to set up large relief camps. Seema said," Like many other displaced people, we are wearing the same set of clothes for the past five days.A primary school, teacher, Rahaman Usmani said, "Where is the government?" There are 7 BJP Lok Sabha MPs in Delhi, 3 MPs in the Rajya Sabha from AAP, 62 MLAs from the AAP in the capital besides 8 MLAs from BJP but no one has visited the area so far. The people have no hopes from the BJP government at the Centre as its police colluded with the rioters allowed them to unleash violence. Besides, Rahamani said, "what pains us to see betrayal by the local AAP government even though Muslims voted for the party as Kejriwal promised development and welfare of all." A doctor said Delhi Police stopped an ambulance ferrying a man with a bullet injury to hospital four times and asked the accompanying doctor each time to remove the dressing and gapped at the wound. The Jan Swasthya Abhijan, a nationwide network of doctors and health experts, said its volunteers had documented instances where patients who sought care at the two government hospitals Guru Tegbahadur and Lok Nayak JaiPrakash Hospital- were not treated appropriately. There the behaviours of the doctors were some inhumane. Even the patients and volunteers both reported that injured person had been called "ugravadi" and "atank vadi" - extremists or terrorists - by doctors whom they had approached for treatment. Now it was clear that the Home Minister Amit Shah's police indirectly supported the rioters who came from nearby Haryana or Uttar Pradesh. However, there is a ray of hope that the Indian Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea to register FIRs against the BJP leaders and others whose hate speeches have partly been blamed for the Delhi Riots. So far the last report came that over 53 people have been killed, 350 people injured and over 700 people are still missing and many a shops, business places, dargas, khankas and over a dozen of mosques are also destroyed. However, the loss of asset has been estimated over 25000 crore. We don't know what more penalties are awaiting for the distressed minority Muslim community.
